Three months after publishing my book, 7 Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates, I received excellent feedback from the readers about their application of healthy eating to their healthy living habits. With the low-carbohydrate, anti-inflammatory diet guidelines they experienced:
- Weight loss
- Cancer recession
- Less sugar craving
- Renewal with the Lord
- Digestive issues ceased

“Before reading this book, I was diagnosed with cancer. I wanted to use a less invasive procedure, and so I followed the advice in the book, 7 Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates, to a Tee. I have accomplished three major hurdles from the information the author provided:
1. Lost 28 pounds in six weeks.
2. My cancer numbers receded from a 6.6 to a 5.6 in size.
3. I’ve renewed my experience with the Lord, to which I am very grateful.”

“Until I read this book, I didn’t have a good enough reason to do something about sugar and carbs without paying for a weight loss program of some sort. I kind of need to be hit over the head with hard-to-argue facts that make me want to change. The author had me laughing at one point because of how effectively she convinces readers of the nature of sugar and wheat. “It is no longer about willpower and self-discipline but a biochemical addiction.”
This book is exactly what I was looking for. The scientific explanations and the spiritual reinforcement provide the yin and the yang balance I need to make a successful lifestyle change.
Convincing and beautifully structured, I am grateful for the knowledge and experience the author shares in 7 Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates. I lost 11 pounds, my husband, 18 pounds in two months. We will probably never return to eating the way we used to eat.
This book rewards and encourages its readers. You will learn how to overcome food addiction that we Americans have developed, in part, thanks to the food industry. I learned so much from this author who overcame a multitude of health issues.
A few of the many things I learned:
- How to fight back against the food industry’s tactics.
- How to help your body heal itself
- How to improve your gut flora and strengthen your immune system
- How to determine the health of your brain
- Why so many people suddenly struggle with gluten”

“I just wanted to update you on my progress. Yesterday was the 3-week mark (of implementing 7 Steps to Get Off Sugar and Carbohydrates), and I am feeling so much better.
I’ve had no digestive issues this week at all! Frankly, I was a little concerned that eating all those vegetables might make my tummy issues worse, but the exact opposite has happened.
I’m even enjoying eating my veggies now. I have never liked the taste of celery, but decided to give it another try last week and was surprised to find I liked it! Only took 61 years but my taste buds finally gave in!
This week I’m trying beets. I never liked the earthy taste of them before. I’m going to try to find some fresh ones later this week and try them. I think my body is finally accepting the sweetness of fresh fruit to satisfy my sugar cravings. I’m not craving it as much as I did at first.
I’m still struggling to remember to journal what I’m eating and how it makes me feel. I understand the importance of this, so I’m trying again this week to make an effort to do this through out the day.
I’ve lost a total of 15 pounds, but I’m deliberately focusing more on the health aspect than the scale. That’s just a nice little bonus!
Thank you again for this book and your support!”
